Job Description

Sales Estimator required for our Clacton based market leading specialist within the construction industry client. As a sales estimator, it is imperative that you possess experience gained within the Construction industry from a pricing point of view, whereyou have to go out to the site and put together estimates for clients. This role of sales estimator is a technical solution-focused role, where you will be working closely with main contractors, specialist contractors, and consultants to supply to existingand new construction customers therefore you must be commercially aware and used to working within a technical sales environment, selling to the site, contractor and construction companies.The Role

  • Processing of Contractor Enquiries and tenders
  • Going out to sites to take measurements required to compile accurate estimates as well as contract negotiation throughout the UK
  • Developing relationships with existing and new construction customers
  • Providing advice to customers or referring/escalating the enquiry regarding quotes, estimates, and managing Tender Responses, including technical queries
  • Selling the entire range of the companys products
  • Create and service sales enquiries in a new business development situation.
  • Regularly review/maintain/update Databases (i.e., Smartsheet, Company CRM)
  • Follow and complete Project Handover Form
  • Identifying and converting prospects within the defined area to include contractors and major projects.
  • Develop existing main contractor accounts through effective relationship management.
  • Identify and develop market sector opportunities for product applications.
The Person
  • Full clean drivers license DBD check will be required.
  • Happy to go out on-site across the UK
  • Must possess experience within the construction industry from a pricing point of view
  • Highly professional with an ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
  • Previous experience in estimating for commercial projects
  • Ability to take site measurements for use in the production process.
  • Commercially aware, ideally with 1 - 2 years of sales experience within a technical sales environment, selling to the site, contractor, and construction companies.
