Project Account Manager required for our well-established and market-leading specialist within the construction industry client in Clacton. This role of Project Account Manager is a technical solution-focused role, where you will be working closely withmain contractors, specialist contractors, and consultants to supply to existing and new construction customers, therefore, you must be commercially aware and used to working within a technical sales environment, selling to the site, contractor and constructioncompanies. As Project Account Manager your prime focus will be to actively win, retain and grow the business knowing you to be able to count on professional backup and support from your team and colleagues at all times.The Role Taking and qualifying initial sales Enquiries, via Telephone and email Advise and assist clients in the purchase of our products and services from the initial inquiry/tender through to the completion of the project. Building relationships with existing and new customer bases. Attending pre-start meetings/contract negotiation meetings when required throughout the UK Contacting customers to discuss project requirements. Providing advice to customers or referring/escalating the inquiry regarding quotes, estimates, and managing Tender Responses, including technical queries Regularly review/maintain/update Databases (i.e., Smartsheet, Company CRM) Follow and complete Project Handover Form Spend some of your time face-to-face with your customers, proactively servicing their business needs. Diarising the survey requirement apply a job number, creating a report on the CRM and setting an appointment Maximising opportunities to market the Company to customers through knowledge of products and services and explaining the Companys USPsThe Person Full clean drivers license DBD check will be required. Possess well-honed sales skills and a strong determination to succeed but will also have a sound technical grounding. Happy to go out on-site across the UK Commercially aware, ideally with 1 - 2 years of sales experience within a technical sales environment, selling to site, contractor, and construction companies. Ability to take site measurements for use in the production process. Have an open communication style; friendly, conscientious, and committed above all you be a team player. Highly professional with an ability to build relationships and influence at all levels. Naturally persuasive, creative, and self-motivated, able to recognise opportunities and use your own initiative to convert these into sales. Excellent communication and presentation skills are important together with strong negotiation, commercial and analytical skills.
