Job Description

Tendring Community Nursing Team are looking for a Domiciliary Phlebotomist. This post is permanent and working hours will be 08:30-15:00.You will be required to work as part of the community nursing team, undertaking phlebotomy (obtaining blood samples through venepuncture) in patients own homes/alternative care setting. You will ensure that all samples are labelled correctly in preparation for forwarding to the laboratory). You will have an excellent communication skills, demonstrate empathy and enjoy working with a variety of people of different age groups. You must have good self-management skills and the ability to prioritise your case load. We have been advised by North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group that this contract will be provided by another organisation after 30th June 2021. This is not as a reflection of ACE but due to the Commissioner wanting to make changes to the way the service is delivered. At the present time we don’t know who the new provider will be but the CCG is working to determine this by the end of 2020. This change does not affect our ability to recruit and should you be employed at the end of June 2021 you will transfer to the new provider on the same terms and conditionsThis post is classified as Regulated Activity and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013).
