Job Description

CNC Turner - Night ShiftSalary up to £48,550 PA, includes shift premium - Plus Overtime Rates.Working across 4 Nights, 39 hours - Monday To Thursday.Location: In the Tendring - North East Essex area.With exceptional earning potential and excellent overtimes rates, this expanding, successful, specialist precision engineering company are looking to recruit a CNC Turner to work on the night shift over 4 nights Monday to Thursday.The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and programming Mazak CNC Lathes, producing high tolerance parts for various blue-chip companies within the aerospace, marine, motorsport, medical and food industries, using the very latest in machiningtechnology.The candidate should have knowledge of Mazatrol and be able to understand the capabilities of tools and materials.Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and program Mazak CNC Lathes.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes Required:
  • A suitable engineering apprenticeship would be advantageous.
  • Ability to program / have knowledge of Mazatrol.
  • Knowledge of various CNC machines and controls. (ideally Mazak)
  • Understand capabilities of tools and materials.
  • The ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of geometric symbols and tolerancing.
  • Experience with Mill/Turn would be beneficial.
  • Any Sliding Head experience would be beneficial.
  • Able to inspect own work.
  • Team Player.
  • Understanding of ISO codes.
Salary guide:
  • Subject to skill set, experience etc: Night Shift: £18.62 p/hr to £23.94 p/hr + Overtime rates (Monday to Thursday night), 39 hours.
  • These rates includes the night shift premiuim.
  • Good hours available.
Night Shift:
  • 4 Nights: Monday to Wednesday - 9.00pm - 7.30am & Thursday 9.00pm - 6.30am.
Location:
  • The company is located in the Tendring area in NE Essex.
  • Commutable from Colchester, Braintree, Manningtree, Harwich, Ipswich, Sudbury, Halstead, Clacton on Sea, Witham.
  • Own transport recommended, due to location.
