Job Description

I am currently working alongside a leading media brand based in Central London to recruit an experienced WIP Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract. The role, which will report in the Client Finance Manager, will involve management of all work in progress and net working capital accounts for one of the agencies global key accounts. Duties and Responsibilities * Job Managemento Ensuring adherence to the job opening processo Ensuring timely management and follow up on jobs with client teamso Explaining to client team how the job processes work on a client and whyo Regular meeting with client teams to review open jobso Working with Commercial Accountants to ensure best use of Maconomy for each clients specific needso Billing to client on a timely basis, ensuring invoices are in line with client processes and internal processeso Keeping a log of Credit Notes and obtaining relevant sign offo Advising Commercial Accountants if client teams are not following internal processes or not making themselves available for WIP reviewso Reviewing open POs and advising teams to close where appropriateo Ensuring jobs are closed down correctly when necessaryo Ensuring Project Management has signed off each closed job and reviewed the profitability* Client Contractso Ensuring Maconomy Master-data is correcto Ensuring you understand the VAT rules in general and each clients specifics are adhered too Ensuring you understand the foreign currency policy on each client and it is being adhered to* Systemso Ensuring best practice in use of all systemso Providing training on Maconomy to client teams as required* Finance teamo Liaising with Financial team on supplier set ups, urgent payment requests, timesheet management and Maconomy queries* Complianceo Assisting where appropriate with any client, SOX or other auditso Raising a query if there is an area of compliance which you do not understand or appears to be a duplicationo Ensuring all internal procedures and policies are adhered too Ensure Purchase Order policy is adhered to - i.e. no approved POs issued after supplier invoice date, highlighting to CAs where there is breach of the policyThe ideal candidate will be experienced in WIP management, contract management and billing within the advertising and marketing space, be an established Maconomy user and have immediate availability or on short notice.If you think this role would be a good fit for your experience, please apply via this advert or send your CV to me directly at .
