Job Description

Senior Network Engineer - £55,000-£65,000 – London/RemoteThe Chaucer Group is a leading insurance group who help protect industries around the world from the risks they face. With UK headquarters in London, we also have international offices in Bermuda, Copenhagen, Dubai, and Singapore, and have doubled in sizeover the last four years.Due to exciting growth we are looking to bring on a Senior Network Engineer to take a senior role in helping migrate our 2 large Datacentres to the Cloud (Azure) as well as contributing to BAU Support to our existing Network infrastructure.On a daily basis the Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for:

    • Provide technical expertise within the Networking Infrastructure Team as a subject matter expert
    • Contribute to the migration of DCs to Azure Cloud
    • Manage and maintain diverse networking infrastructure
    • Subject matter expert in WAN/LAN networking technologies
    • Solution design and implementation
    • Assist with BAU support escalated issues to enable resolution
    • Act as a key technical resource on both large and smaller scale/BAU projects
    • Assist with the mentoring and development of Network Engineers
    • Managing personal workload and development
    • Own the Networking Infrastructure environments as the technical SME
    • Provide value add in recognising the importance of building, developing and extending relationship across the team and the wider business
    • Design, implement and maintain network infrastructure solutions
To be considered as our new Senior Network Engineer you should have experience in a similar Enterprise level Network Engineering role. You should have strong Cisco networking experience as well as Palo Alto Security Products. It would be a big bonus if you have work in a Cloud hosted infrastructure environment too.This is initially a 12 month FTC. For the right Senior Network Engineer there will be an excellent salary and benefits package. The role is a largely remote with only 1 day a month needed in the office for big meetings.
