Job Description

Are you a Senior Network Engineer looking for the next step in your careerDo you want to work for an award winning global companyDo you feel like you can no longer progress in your current roleThen this role may be perfect for you!I am currently recruiting for a Senior Network Engineer, to join an award winning, progressive company, specialising in network, and cloud services.This global company are looking to pay a generous salary of £70-75k, with benefits, with the role being based in their London Office. This role is a permanent position with an ASAP start date. This role has become available due to the companies impressive growth.Role Description:As part of our growth we are looking for a network engineer in charge of our backbone and customer platforms.Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth running of computer facilities, manage installations, configurations and daily backbone maintenance
  • Ensure smooth running of LAN/MAN/WAN i.e. ensure support level 2 and 3 switches, routers, load balancing, cloud infrastructure
  • Ensure engineering in the IP and transport networks
  • Provide support level 3 to the Network Operation Centre
  • Manage peerings and load balancing between network links
  • Provide technical support for physical deployments
  • Design, deploy and support network to meet the internal and customer requirements
  • Willingness to undertake international travel on occasions
    • Desirable Skills
  • 5 years experience in a similar field is required.
  • A core-network experience in a carrier company is required.
  • Fluent English is a must. French language is a plus but not necessary.
  • Routing protocols: MPLS, MPLS-TE, BGP, OSPF,
  • Security : Firewalls Juniper/Fortinet, IPSec, SSL
  • Lan architecture : Vlan, STP, Gateway redundancy
  • Control of network equipment and CISCO, BROCADE and Juniper is an advantage
  • SNMP monitoring
  • Good understanding of transport networks: WDM, SDH
  • Knowledge of GNU/Linux
  • CCIE Level (certification itself is not mandatory)
  • Ability to work with a team composed of a large panel of skills is required.
  • Finally, you dont crack under pressure, you have energy and enthusiasm, you are able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
