CC45057Senior Business Development ExecutiveAn international company based in the City of London is currently looking for a Japanese speaking Business Development Executive.In this role you will be responsible for creating new business that contributes to solving social issues by capturing future industrial trends, leveraging the disruptive technologies from start-ups, digital transformation functionality and strategic localpartnership.The ideal candidate should have experience and knowledge in infrastructure (including the electricity/energy sector) Business travel to European countries is required for this role.TYPE: Permanent, full-time Business Development Executive RoleWORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to FridaySALARY: £72k - £90k depending on experience, plus £500 per month car allowance, plus good benefitsLOCATION: London (Hybrid 2 -3 days a week in the City of London Office.)Business Development Executive Main Responsibilities:• Initiate and lead new business development activities across different sectors especially in energy (including electricity) sector leveraging the disruptive technologies from start-ups, digital transformation functionality and strategic local partnership• Develop new high-level networks/contacts/customer base, entering the market by their own motive• Work closely with related internal / external experts (developed by themself, if applicable) to promote new business development• Initiate and lead cross-border business development• Develop deal leads and manage projects through to completion whether that be investing, partnering or acquiring new companies• Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practice-based solutions• Lead others to solve complex problems and identify innovative solutions• Act as an ambassador for SCEU internally and externally across the European region• Shape and direct our unit/department strategy to be proposed to top management• Business travel to European countries is requiredQUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/PERSONAL QUALITIES OF THE Business Development Executive:• University educated with a preference for post-graduate qualification(s). This may include an MBA, CFA Institute qualifications or a post-graduate qualification in the following areas; Accounting, International Tax, Law, Finance and/or Economics• Good understanding of new technology and innovation• Able to work autonomously• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written• Comfortable challenging the status quo and engaging with management at all levels• Demonstrate resilience to ensure the completion of tasks• Able to tackle challenges and develop solutions to problems• A business development mindset with the ability to take a wider view across industries• Enjoys working in a demanding environment• Results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality deliverables• Uses analytical thought to exercise judgement• MS Office - Proficient Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills• Maintain confidentiality• Good time management, attention to detail and organisation skills• Up to date with market trends• Knowledge in digitalBusiness Development Executive EXPERIENCE:• Experience and knowledge in infrastructure (including the electricity/energy sector)• Relevant business development experience and/or experience of corporate development through creation of mid to long term strategic plans• Experience of researching corporate development/investment opportunities and developing these into viable business• Effective negotiation, persuasion skills and project management skills• Experience working within a European and/or global remit in a corporate environment** All applicants must have the right to work in the UK as the Company is not able to offer visa support.If your application is successful, you will be contacted within two business days.
