Job Description

GlobalData plc has a really exciting opportunity for a self-starting Product Marketing Manager to join a brand new team and be part of the fastest-growing Data & Analytics Company on the London Stock Exchange.As Product Marketing Manager, your mission will be to support revenue growth for a portfolio of products by establishing strategic positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation that enables Sales teams globally to better influence buying decisions and, ultimately, win more business.What you will do

  • Product development and launch
  • o Project manage the product launch process, co-ordinating internal materials, Sales training, client-facing collateral, and client communicationso Develop a commercially compelling product proposition, establishing audience personas, product features and benefits, and competitive differentiationo Secure customer insights to feed back into the product enhancement process
  • Sales collateral and tools
  • o Co-ordinate and maintain client-facing materials together with Sales and Product teams that support each stage of the sales journeyo Manage the collaterals repository on the GlobalData intranet and ensure awareness and usage across Commercial teamso Collaborate with Commercial teams to identify and create tools that facilitate stronger deal win ratios, such as competitive benchmarking, scripting, persona-based cheat sheets etc
  • Product training
  • o Co-ordinate and manage delivery of product training sessions, either live or via WebExo Facilitate training sessions, ensuring clarity of product messaging to client-facing teamso Manage and maintain the training repository on the GlobalData intranet for on-demand access by Commercial teams
  • Certification
  • o Measure absorption and efficacy of new messaging, report back to business on findings, and identify and deploy potential actionso Design and deliver certification campaigns alongside Commercial Directors and Managers, as well as senior leadershipA successful applicant will possess the below characteristics:
  • Collaborative: you’ll regularly partner with Sales and Product leaders in order to identify opportunities to support the Sales journey and, in turn, drive revenue growth
  • Influential: asking other functions for timely input and feedback will be a regular feature of this role, meaning you will have strong powers of persuasion, and be able to influence peers into action
  • Creative writer: our product is multi-faceted and complex, meaning you will be able to translate a detailed offering into concise and compelling commercial messaging that Sales teams need in order to better influence buying decisions
  • Ability to take the initiative: this role requires someone who is willing and able to be proactive and find the answers, rather than wait for the answers to come to them
  • Organisational: we are a fast-paced, high-growth company, meaning you will manage multiple projects at any given time. The ideal candidate will use their time effectively to fulfil often time-pressured demands and objectives.
  • Communicator: you will be a confident, articulate and authoritative public speaker, while you will also be comfortable engaging with customers, either over the phone or in meetings
  • Analytical: as a champion of customer needs, you will be someone who can cut through the noise to effectively spot emerging customer trends that we can seize via product enhancements
  • Ambitious: you have 2-3 years’ experience, and are looking for the next step in your career
