Job Description

Arthur are extremelyproud to be partnered with an exciting and dynamic Managing Agent as they grow and develop their footprint within the London Market. Our client is looking to hire an experienced and knowledgeable Reinsurance Manager to oversee the ReinsurancePurchasing and Operational requirements ofthird party syndicates managed by the organisation.This is a crucial positionin developing/managing a strategy and operating modeland structuring the services provided to third party syndicates.You will have a key responsibility as part of theSecurity and Reinsurance committee to decide on suitable reinsurance counter partiesand assess the efficacy of reinsurance structures throughout the growth ofthe MA. You will be responsible forassisting inthe RI strategy structure for new syndicates andwill be responsible for producing internal and external reports on syndicates’ reinsurance positions. Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of monthly and annual reinsurance data forinternal and external distribution.
  • Create reports on timeliness of reinsurance processing, adequacy, efficacy.
  • Managing the premium, policy and claims administration of reinsurance treaties.
  • Implement and develop systemprotocols and procedures for reinsurance transactions and processes.
  • Liaise with Syndicates on their Reinsurance purchases.
  • Ensure understanding of all reinsurance treaties to allow appropriate internal dissemination.
  • Preparation ofmonthly reports for the Security and Reinsurance Committee and for the Underwriting Performance and Claims Committee.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Strong technical understanding of reinsurance programmes and structures
  • Ability to manage workloads and prioritise a number of different tasks based on business volumes and priorities
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Clear focus on quality, service and results.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast moving environment
  • Proactive and positive attitude to building out new venture and structure
