Job Description

The objective of the role is to work with the COO/CFO to improve project and workflow management and discipline across the organisation.Client DetailsThe opportunity is to work for an industry-led body representing UK-based financial and related professional services.   • Manage the co-ordination and organisation of forward activity and plans across the company related to member/stakeholder facing output.
  • Ensure potential complementarities, conflicts and scheduling issues are identified, particularly with an eye to resource commitments and "air traffic control" implications.
  • Support the Executive Committee in the delivery of a new operating model based on the Board and consulting firms recommendations.
  • Support the Executive Committee and take day-day responsibility on ensuring practices are in place and implemented to deliver role and strategic clarity for all staff as set out in the Organisational Health Index.
  • Support the Executive Committee and the Senior Management Group as an early warning system of capacity crunch issues.
  • Act as the day-to-day champion for ensuring that project management standards and systems are utilised, maintained and, where necessary, improved.
  • Ensure relevant parts of the company are involved in the management of projects and take day -day responsibility for delivery when required.
  • Any other duties that are commensurate with the role and may be requested by management.
  • Profile
  • Minimum of 2-3 years operational experience, preferably within a similar sector
  • Proven experience in project management and delivery
  • Highly organised and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Tactful yet tenacious; able to work in a collegial manner but with appropriate authority
  • A desire to continually improve systems and processes
  • Open to feedback and constructive challenge
