Job Description

Open Market TechnicianYou will be working for a market leading, independent and Lloyds of London broker who provide insurance and reinsurance solutions, to UK and global clients with a strong focus on North America.They have successfully been established for over 20 years and they provide a vast range of solutions to their highly valued clients. These include; Property, Casualty, Construction, Contingency, Financial Lines, Political Violence, Terrorism, Aviation, Marine,Transportation and Fine Art.An exciting opportunity has arisen within the company, who are now seeking an Open Market Technician. To provide a quality service to Brokers and Clients, covering all aspects of their insurance and reinsurance business.Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for all Open Market Technical Processing aspects on various classes of business to include but not limited to, Aviation, Errors & Omissions, Directors & Officers, Trucking and High Risk across Global Open Market Business
  • Responsibility for the efficient management of all allocated Open Market Technical work including Lineslips
  • You will assist with the drafting and submissions of Slips, LPANs and Debit / Credit Notes
  • Ensure that all communications, including e-mails, Technical documentation, Broker Insurance Documentation (BIDS) and any other form of communication are accurate at all times and created or issued in accordance with internal and FCA requirements
  • Open Market s and Lineslip bordereau submissions to Xchanging via the IMR
  • Working alongside the Brokers
  • Ensure that all files/electronic files and insurance placements are recorded correctly onto internal systems.
  • Ensure that effective Credit Control Procedures are adhered to and maintained
Requirements
  • You will be required to have a minimum of 2 years of London Market experience
  • Experience in Processing across Open Market Business
  • You will be fully competent in all MS Windows applications
  • You will be fully competent in Lloyds Xchanging & the Insurers Market Repository (IMR)
  • Having Global XB is desirable
