Job Description

Audit Manager or Senior Manager - Not for ProfitI am currently working with a leading UK firm who are looking to hire a Charity/NFP Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager for the team.The firm are looking with someone with a genuine interest in the sector and can offer you the opportunity to build a rewarding career in the not for profit sector.ResponsibilitiesYou will manage an allocated portfolio of audit assignments, which will involve:

  • Allocating work and assignments to staff
  • Overseeing the audit jobs from planning through to completion
  • Working closely with partners
  • Resole any technical accounting and auditing issues that may arise
  • Building strong relationships with clients
  • Working with colleagues from specialist teams within the firm
  • You will also have involvement in tenders from the initial meeting through to drafting tender documents and presentations
  • Assist in the production of technical material for internal and external use
  • Assist with the running of the team by working closely with the management team to ensure that staff resources are best used to service the clients in the department. This includes:
  • Further develop the audit team
  • Involvement in the development of the audit staff
  • Contributing to the running of the team
  • Motivating staff members
  • Recruitment of staff - conducting interviews with a partner
Requirements
  • A passion for the NFP sector
  • Prior experience working with charities and not for profit organisations
  • Experience with SORP
  • ACA, ICAS, ACCA, or equivalent, qualified
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of NFP clients preferable but not essential
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients
