Job Description

Junior Software ArchitectJob Title: Junior Software ArchitectLocation: 65 London Wall, London About Us: Acacia is a dynamic and innovative technology department within a unique hotel group specialising in innovative green energy solutions. Position Overview: We are looking for a Junior Software Architect to join our team and contribute to the design and development of our software systems. In this role, you will work closely with our senior architects and development teams to create scalable and efficient solutions.You will leverage your expertise in AWS, Grafana, InfluxDB, and Java to architect and implement solutions that meet industry needs. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Software Architecture: To design and document software architecture that aligns with business requirements and scalability needs.
  2. AWS Expertise: Utilize your experience in AWS to design and implement cloud-based solutions, leveraging AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, and RDS.
  3. Monitoring and Visualization: Configure and manage Grafana and InfluxDB to monitor system performance, analyse data, and create dashboards for real-time insights.
  4. Coding Skills: Contribute to the development process by writing code in Java, assisting developers, and ensuring code quality and best practices.
  5. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation related to architecture, system configurations, and deployment processes.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps, and project managers, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  7. Problem Solving: Identify and address technical challenges and provide innovative solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  2. 1-2 years of relevant experience in software architecture.
  3. Proficiency in AWS services and cloud architecture.
  4. Hands-on experience with Grafana and InfluxDB for monitoring and data visualization.
  5. Solid coding skills in Java.
  6. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  8. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  9. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus but not required.
