Job Description

PurposeResponsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact. The role involves working to a brief and listening to stakeholders to understand their needs while adhering to brand guidelines before making design decisions. The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.Targets

  • Ensure deadlines are met in line with production schedules
  • Create artwork that meets business objectives
  • Maintain brand consistency across all assets
  • Ensure all outputs meet third party production specifications/channels specifications where applicable
    • Key Accountabilities
  • Create engaging customer emails that inspire and sell product to the target market (B2C and B2B)
  • Create engaging web advertising through use of Photoshop to create animated gifs and/or HTML5 code
  • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts
  • Meeting key stakeholders to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job
  • Interpreting the business needs and developing a concept to meet objectives
  • Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research
  • Using logic to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time
  • Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work
  • Working on layouts and art working pages ready for print
  • Create visually engaging point-of-sale, exhibition/events assets and outdoor advertising when required
  • Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
  • Working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, other designers, web developers and marketing specialists.
    • Experience and Qualifications
  • Fluent in English with an excellent standard of written and verbal communication
  • Adobe Creative Cloud - InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Professional,
  • Understanding of print processes and creating compliant web elements
  • Understanding of MSOffice - Word, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Preferences
  • Graphic design qualification
    • Ideal but not essential
  • HTML5/CSS3 experience
  • An interest in photography
  • Experience of mobile responsive design
  • Flash animation, Abobe Premier and/or Adobe after-effects skills
  • Experience of using Dotmailer to create emails
