Job Description

An exciting opportunity for a Chartered Accountant to join a global provider of insurance and reinsurance underwriting solutions across a variety of different product lines. Based in the City of London, the Internal Audit Manager is a key position and willsupport the implementation, development and maintenance of the group wide internal audit plan.Role Overview

  • Take responsibility, under guidance, for the planning, execution and reporting of internal financial, business process and regulatory audits.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the internal audit risk register, being proactive in identifying new risks applicable to the company.
  • Take responsibility for performing testing on behalf of management in relation to the annual Sarbanes-Oxley certification.
  • Work closely with the external auditors, meeting their expectations and increasing levels of reliance on internal audit work.
  • Perform ad hoc audit projects responding to emerging risks and management requests.
Essential Requirements:
  • Qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA with some auditing experience in Property and Casualty insurance.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and general understanding of US regulatory reporting requirements
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Goal and Team oriented
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
