Job Description

Head of Strategic Change London£100,000 - £120,000 + Bonus & benefitsThe CompanyDue to continued growth and success, this international law firmhas an exciting opportunity for a Head of Strategic Change Portfolioto join them and oversee a multi-million pound strategic portfolio of change. This award-winning firm is known for being welcomingand supportive of their employees - business services and lawyers / trainees alike. Known for being international legal experts in sectors such as digital business, energy, financial services, life sciences, real estate, retail and more, they have representedmany household names. Having also won an award for Best Law Firm for Legal Tech, we are now delighted to support the recruitment of a Head of Strategic Change to ensure the successful implementation of the PMO strategy, services and deliverables, includingownership and management of an integrated roadmap of change for the UK business.Key Responsibilities of the Head of Strategic Change

  • Overseeing the creation and management of the companys UKs firmwide annual investment plan, including associated return on investment & benefits tracking and alignment to the retention of profits year on year
  • Tracking and reporting of portfolio wide benefits / the associated return on investment against the annual investment plan. This will include reporting on the change functions own KPIs
  • Proactively identifying portfolio level risks to the business, taking action to mitigate them
  • Acting as a key advisor and critical friend to project sponsors & project teams in order to ensure that the overall approach to the delivery of change is in line with the firms strategic goals
  • Controlling, creating and maintaining governance and programme-related documentation (across Business Analysis, Change Management, Programme & Project Management etc.) in a structured way
  • Managing the overall pipeline & repository of change, including the project intake process
Skills & Attributes of the Head of Strategic Change Portfolio
  • An experienced portfolio manager with a proven record for managing enterprise or firm-wide Portfolio Management Offices (PMO)
  • Establishing and managing a strategic, firm wide PMO in order to deliver on the firms strategic agenda
  • Experience within the professional services or legal sector
  • Building strong, c-suite level relationships in order to positively influence key stakeholders and drive buy-in to the overarching agenda of the change team
  • Displays good interpersonal skills at all levels of contact and in a wide variety of situations, able to quickly establish strong relationships, especially with senior leadership within the firm
  • Providing proactive and critical challenge to programmes in delivery in order to enable the successful delivery of tangible business outcomes
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, in order to align the investment planning cycle, strategic goals of the firm and the change roadmap
  • The ability to build and manage a high performing team and to create a sense of community amongst the often-disparate members of the project teams
