Job Description

Head of Group Reporting (Fully remote!)12-month maternity cover contractMust speak German and be a qualified accountant (ACCA/ICAEW/CIMA etc.)Day rate: c£450-£600 per day depending on experienceOur client is a global travel company that offers a tech platform that specialises incomparison and booking requests. They are based in Berlin and operate on a global scale. They are looking for a Head of Group Reporting to join their team for a 12 monthmaternity cover contract. You will provide support to the VP Finance and be responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements on monthly and annual basis in accordance with IFRS, and all local statutory accounts as required. German speaking is amust for this role!Your main roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare monthly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of annual external reporting to go along with consolidated financial statements, including footnotes and checklists
  • Lead with the internal and external auditors regarding the area of financial reporting and group accounting
  • Research and document the implementation of new accounting standards and reporting requirements, and assess impact
  • Advise senior management on the consistent interpretation and correct implementation of IFRS standards
Your unique skill includes:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge and relevant experience with IFRS technical accounting and external reporting
  • Sound experience with consolidation software and ERP systems (we use Workday)
  • Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills as collaboration amongst Finance teams is essential
  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA/ICAEW
