Job Description

Want to work on a 100% greenfield build for a fully funded startup created by one of the UKs most successful tech entrepreneurs Are you ready to take on a challenge and be rewarded with £500k+ equityWe are embarking on a journey to capitalise on the UKs largest retail market worth over £50bn a year. With plans in place and fully backed by investors, we are aiming for no less than 5% of market ownership in a market where 3% is the current highest. Realistically, we are looking to hit 20%.As a Senior FEngineer you will be joining us at an early stage working on a truly greenfield project alongside a Development Manager and another Senior UI Engineer. You will be working with React, HTML5 and CSS, making use of cutting-edge functionalities and techniques like React Hooks and PostCSS. In order to drive consistency across the platform you will also be utilising Typescript.As this is a completely greenfield position, as a Senior UI Engineer you will be required to write HTML with semantic markup and tagged perfectly to ensure we maximise SEO return. Youll apply best practice to all the work you do and create the application with accessibility in mind.In order to succeed in this role as a Senior UI Engineer, we need to see:

  • Experience working on at least one other high-traffic B2C website
  • Expertise in all things HTML5, CSS3 and ES6
  • You have a strong aesthetic sense and awareness of UX development concerns
  • Experience working on an application or significant feature from inception
    • But in return, the Senior UI Engineer who joins the team will get:
