Job Description

Cedar is currently partnered with a Private-Equity Backed Insurance business to help them secure an Interim Financial Controller. The role is to support the Finance Director and would be based in their office in The City. The role is a 3-6 month initialcontract, paying a day rate between £450-550 on an Umbrella company basis.The CompanyThis swiftly growing financial services firm, supported by Private Equity investors, has made a substantial impact by expanding into EMEA and APAC through strategic acquisitions. Specialising in multiple niche insurance sectors, they provide comprehensivesolutions from product development to claims management. They have recently secured further funding from their investors which is earmarked for future acquisitions, fortifying their growth trajectory.The RoleAs Interim Financial Controller, you will cover:

  • Manage accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Analyse financial data for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate year-end audits with external auditors.
  • Supervise month-end closing for accuracy.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and reports.
  • Establish internal controls for asset safeguarding and record accuracy.
  • Monitor compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Lead, mentor, and support finance team for optimal performance and growth.
Your ProfileYou will ideally have:
  • A formal Accountancy Qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CA, etc).
  • Experience within an acquisitive, fast-growth environment
  • Experience gained within a large, complex environment.
  • Experience dealing with multiple robust internal and external stakeholders.
  • The rate of £450-550 per day represents either a logical increase in your rate or a similar level to your previous experience.
  • Prior experience within a Financial Services business is useful.
