Job Description

Working with a world leading wealth management firm based in London, who are looking to add a Finance Systems Support Analyst to their growing team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for maintaining, supporting and developing Financial Reporting and Planning systems, TM1 (IBM Cognos controller).Client DetailsOne of the worlds leading wealth management firms based in London.DescriptionAct as a support resource for the Cognos TM1 system, this will involve:* Technical administration of the systems and infrastructure* 1st line Support and User Management* Daily monitoring and troubleshooting of data loads* Ad-hoc investigations / reporting on behalf of the business* Maintaining system documentation* Act as a development resource for the Cognos TM1 system, this will involve:* Maintaining and developing cubes, processes and rules to meet business requirements* Development of reports as necessary to meet users needs* Analyse system architecture and implement changes as the system grows in size* Analysis, design, build and deployment of system customisation and process enhancements as required.* Assist in supporting other reporting applications in the Finance Systems portfolio* Understand and support the management reporting and budget and planning processes* Assist with Finance change initiatives* Timely communication of any issues and risks* Follow IT governance standards & IT best practices* Maintain existing relationships with the Finance & IT departmentsProfileBeneficial Qualifications & Experience

  • Knowledge of management reporting and budgeting principles & practice, ideally within the Finance industry - you will need to communicate convincingly with accountants and convert their requirements into reporting solutions
  • Good understanding of approaches to system development life cycle, including change and configuration management
  • Knowledge of reporting applications including OLAP technologies.
  • Basic development skills in coding languages such as VBA & SQL
  • Good experience gained within Cognos TM1 or equivalent support roles.
