Job Description

Director - Global Transaction Banking DepartmentA Japanese bank is currently recruiting a Director to work in their Global Transaction Banking Department in the city of London. The focus of the Director will be to make plans and formulate the strategy of the Transaction Business, manage the team covering the planning strategy and application processes, liaise with multiple departments across the Bank including EMEA and Tokyo, anddeliver reporting, controls, new ideas, and concepts.TYPE: Permanent, full-timeWORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to FridaySALARY: £ 120k START: ASAPLOCATION: Central London (Currently hybrid working- It may change depending on the company’s decision.) Director Main Responsibilities:

  • Planning the strategy of Transaction Business including new solutions, concepts, targets and setting up action plans for EMEA in line. This will include market research.
  • Producing and reviewing various management reports by obtaining necessary figures/information from relevant systems as well as from other relevant groups.
  • Analysing the figures, and issuing the result of analysis to relevant groups, e.g. front offices, and Promotion team
  • Identifying potential target customers based on the analysis of the figures and keeping track of the progress. Informing such targets and progresses to other members and sharing such information with the front offices
  • Creating and reviewing customer presentation materials/pitchbook
  • Preparing and maintaining Electronic Banking Agreements, including cash pooling and Swift agreements, by liaising with Legal Departments in EMEA region
  • Updating and maintaining Procedure including enhancement of related operations.
  • Supervising Requirement Definition of internal applications such as fee control, customer database, etc.
  • Supervising the process of documentation, including fee checks, periodical fee reports, customer communications and maintenance of documents.
  • Supervising the customer communication related to Electronic Banking documentation.
  • Problem solving including complaints from customers or bank internal issues.
  • Visiting customers for product promotion and explanation, when needed
  • Chairing and organizing meetings
  • Budgeting
  • Expense control including expense approval
  • Supervising the administrative work
  • Undertaking ad-hoc administrative tasks, as requested
  • Submitting ad-hoc and/or regular reports required by the Bank, such as Information Asset Register in relation with GDPR, SLAs with EMEA branches, etc..
Director Ideal Candidate:
  • High-level knowledge of Transaction Business products and operations
  • Skills of customer presentation and promotion of services
  • Skills of setting targets through team management
  • Skills of conflict management and managing project development through project management
  • Experience of planning
  • Experience of management of budget
  • Experience of team management and project management
