Job Description

US law firm based in fabulous offices close to St Pauls wish to hire a temporary Billing Assistant on an ongoing basis to join their busy Revenue team. Due to increased workloads, this Billing Assistant role is offering a generous hourly rate DOE based ona FTE of 40-45k per annum as well as flexible agile working pattern, of 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely with standard hours being 9:30am to 5:30pm.You will report into the Revenue Manager and carry out all aspects of client billing primarily for their Middle Eastern offices as well as occasional support to the London team. Tasks include;

  • Generating and distributing proformas for assigned partners
  • Processing transfers and edits
  • Preparing draft bills, split bills, task code allocation and final bills
  • Processing credit notes and re-issues as required
  • Ensuring bills prepared for assigned Partners are completed in a timely manner and by client standards
  • Dealing with queries and troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and basic VAT Rules, ensuring compliance at all times
Candidates for this Billing Assistant position require a minimum of 3 years experience in a legal billing or revenue control position within a law firm as well as knowledge of legal billing software (preferably Elite 3E) as well as possessing excellentcommunication skills. You will be available to start at short notice and able to commit to working on a rolling temporary basis.
