Job Description

Do you have previous accounts payable experience Have you had exposure to working for a corporate environment Would joining an established insurance broker that continues to grow and remain within the top 10 largest brokers in the UK appealAs a result of continued success and growth, we are currently partnering with a renowned forward-thinking insurance broker thats looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team, based in City of London (closest station - Fenchurch Street)Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the position of Accounts Assistant will assist with all aspects of the accounts payable function taking the lead on reviewing expenses, preparing month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliationsand ensuring the correct postings to their accounting system - Sun.Further tasks include:

  • Collating purchase invoices for payment run approval
  • Support during the implementation of Concur platform for business expenses
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparation and submission of balance sheet account reconciliations (i.e. bank, prepayment and accrual accounts)
  • Ad-hoc finance tasks for the Accounts Payable Manager
Successful applicants will have at least 2+ years Accounts Payable experience, ideally coming from a similar industry (Insurance, Financial Services, Professional Services) or have worked for an organisation with end -to-end accounts payableexposure. Youll have excellent organisational skills, proactive mindset along with a willingness to take on more responsibility in time. Intermediate MS Excel skills required along with knowledge/experience of the software Sun and Concur (desirable).
