Job Description

2nd / 3rd Line IT Support - City of London - £45,000 (DOE)We are a recruitment agency looking to fill an exciting and challenging position as a 2nd / 3rd Line IT Support in the City of London. The candidate should have the required technical skills and the necessary experience to join our clients team.The role is based in the City of London and offers a salary of £45,000 (DOE).Key responsibilities:

  • Providing support for technical issues, including but not limited to system maintenance and upgrades, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and providing hardware and software support
  • Investigating and resolving issues with clients IT systems and applications
  • Developing and maintaining smooth running of IT systems
  • Supporting the development of new IT systems and applications
  • Ensuring that all systems are secure and reliable
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Updating and maintaining documentation of IT systems
  • Assisting with the implementation of new IT systems
  • Assisting in the maintenance and management of IT security
Technical Skills required:
  • Experience with Windows Server and desktop operating systems
  • Experience with networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBScript, and batch files
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
  • Experience with storage technologies such as SAN and NAS
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS
  • Knowledge of security principles
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
