Job Description

Job Title: 1830 - Mechanical EngineerLocation: ChorleySalary: £30,000 to £35,000 DOEAre you an experienced Mechanical Engineer Are you looking for the opportunity to grow your careerLH Recruitment are thrilled to be working exclusively with our growing Chorley based client.Our client has been providing services within mechanical and electrical designs for over 20 years, being the lead designer on multiple schemes with values in excess of £100million, including new builds, refurbs and alterations.Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer:

  • Working as part of a design team delivering detailed design
  • Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project
  • Designing site-specific equipment as required
  • Overseeing and supervising the installation of building systems and specifying maintenance and operating procedures
  • Attending a range of project group and technical meetings
  • Ensuring that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements
    • The Successful Mechanical Engineer:
  • You will have an accredited Building Services / Mechanical Engineering degree or higher educational qualification
  • Ideally + 5 years’ experience within a building services design role running projects from conception through to completion including calculations, drawings, specifications, etc
  • Ideally chartered or working towards chartered engineer status with a suitable institution
  • Experience using AutoCAD
  • Experience using design software such as Hevacomp and Cymap
  • Ideally hold a full UK driving license
  • You will also need to show ambition and a willingness to learn whilst demonstrating a high-level of diligence and organisational skills
  • Experience within a building services design role running projects from conception through to completion including calculations, drawings, specifications, etc is essential
