Job Description

As far as awards go, being the best financial planning firm to work for in the UK is some accolade. Especially since this business has now won it twice in a row. And when you break down whats on offer by joining them, you can see why they won.The stand out is that progression is standard.Progression is so important. Nothing satisfies people more than learning and development. Nothing aids staff retention like it. Nothing else makes you feel like youre listened to.Want to take exams Great. Want to become a paraplanner Fine. Fancy being a planner or manager at some point Yep, they can look at that too.And opportunity will keep knocking. Why Well here youll support three planners but the office will though grow for a couple of reasons. One, the firm will continue being acquisitive so theyll be more planners brought into the fold (they are in talks with 3 IFA firms at present). And some plannerswho currently work out of another office will migrate across as its closer. But the support team in Chorley at present stands at two, both of whom are part-time. And for a business that prides itself on the level of support each planner gets, thats unsustainable with the plans they have in place.Which is where you come in.Youll support the existing planners but will be part of a team that will grow and grow in the next two years. And as the first full-time adviser assistant through the door youll have opportunities galore.Theres paraplanning. Theyll support you through your exams and put you on a pathway to Chartered status and a paraplanning position. Theres mentoring. Youll help the office manager train/develop the staff that come in after you. Perhaps leadership roles will come your way too. And then theres all the input you can have into how the office does things. But thats not all.Youll start with 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays). Youll have proper induction and training plans (its amazing how many firms dont put these in place). And you can work from home one day a week.Salary is to c£28,000 but theres flexibility depending on what you can bring to the position. What youll need:Youll have 2+ years experience working for a restricted/independent financial planning firm. Youll be confident working with technology (the firm uses X Plan at present but the firm is moving to a new system in Q1 2024). And given this and the ongoing acquisitions, youll be good with change.Hitting a glass ceiling or think youre talent is being wasted Click apply. We will be in touch to tell you everything you need to know.
