Job Description

As an R&D Systems Engineer you will have the opportunity to work on new solutions across a wide range of technologies. Your work will help shape where GD-MS goes in the future.You will work as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team and will play a significant part in the design and delivery of our solutions.A typical day for you in the role will include:

  • Undertaking system design, integration, verification and validation of R&D projects, networks and solutions.
  • Producing and maintaining technical documentation
  • Supporting the transition of R&D output to field trials and demonstration labs
  • Active participation in the Agile development process.
    • You will bring your experience of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to the team and have the opportunity to propose and create new and novel solutions across a diverse range of technical challenges.You may also bring some experience in the following:
  • PTC IM
  • GVA
  • DDS
  • Tactical network infrastructures and system management
  • Experience off field trials, customer demonstrations and network deployments
  • Safety-related aspects of engineering, including SIL
