DAYS (HYBRID WORKING AVALIBLE)Procurement Lead sought for a Chippenham based manufacturer in the semiconductor industry offering huge development and progression. Part of a Global manufacturing brand employing over 17,000 people this role offers vast opportunities to move and grow throughthe wider brand. The role would suit applicants from a senior procurement or supply chain management background transferring from ANY manufacturing background. Procurement professionals with experience of leading a small team will have a considerable advantage. Experience ofcontinuous improvement techniques would be beneficial.The role will effectively be the most senior procurement professional/procurement lead on site and oversee strategic sourcing activities and decisions for the Chippenham site. You will also be responsible for leading or participating in cross-functionalsaving programs and own a savings tracker. The candidate will also lead/attend supplier visits/audits with the goal the improve quality and cost and service as well as negotiate and manager supplier contracts for key spending areas.The successful candidate will benefit from continued ongoing personal development and progression opportunities, as part of a global brand there will be opportunities to travel to locations across the globe on secondment as well as upward moves through thebrand if desired.The Procurement Manager Role:*Senior procurement professional on site*Oversee strategic sourcing activities*Develop and implement sourcing and negation strategies*Lead or participate in cross-functional saving programs*Develop and support business continuity plans*Negotiate and manager supplier contacts*Measure, track and manage supplier contacts and performance *Implement inventory and cash optimization programsThe Procurement Manager:*Must have previous supply chain or procurement lead experience*Must transfer from a manufacturing background ideally the semiconductor industry*Proven experience in global procurement*Ideally a Bachelor or University degree
