Job Description

Interim Head of HRChippenham£65,000 - £75,000 (+ Car Allowance) per annum - depending on skills and experience Minimum Fixed Term 6 months with possible extension. This supports the creation of strong and vibrant communities.They make a difference to people’s lives - and this is something they want to continue doing, for more people, every day, and they have ambitious plans to simplify and modernise their organisation, to become a simply brilliant landlord.About the roleFollowing the appointment of their newly formed role of People Director they are currently recruiting for an Interim Head of HR, who will be responsible for the provision, coordination, organisation and control of cost-effective HR & L&D services across the business, ensuring that business objectives and operational needs are met.You will lead on the day to day business as usual’ activity within the HR function including, dealing with any HR team issues and problem solving; and continue to lead on "fixing the basics" within the department.As the Interim Head of HR, you will help the team to work more commercially by supporting in connecting them to the wider corporate business plan, as well as assisting the People Director in completing a diagnostic of the HR challenges - and in turn supporting in the development of the People Priorities within HR.While supporting the People Director in designing the people strategy, by leading on critical activity being undertaken to diagnose priority areas, you will provide additional support to the HR Leadership team in the performance of the wider HR team, this will include identifying development gaps and performance management where required.As part of the role, you will lead the development of a monthly people dashboard which will identify key people KPI’s and trends across the organisation and utilise this information to help create a positive’ brand across HR.About youYou will have a CIPD Level 5 or above qualification or currently be working towards studying to this level. You’ll have a solid understanding of employment law with a proven project management experience within a HR function.You’ll possess a strong sense of integrity, have a positive, proactive and flexible approach and be able to work accurately to deadlines, whilst managing a busy workload with minimal direction.You’ll be able to build and maintain effective working relationships, have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and be able to communicate and work with colleagues at all levels.Previous experience in leading a HR function would also be beneficial.Travel across their sites will feature, so a current driving licence and access to the use of a personal vehicle for business purposes is essential.BenefitsIn support and recognition of their colleagues who will help them deliver their employer strategy, they offer a fantastic benefits package.
