Graphic DesignerMOD LynehamLand DCTT EMTCAbout the role:Here at Babcock International were looking to recruit a Graphic Designer.You will join a highly-skilled and friendly media team, who are tasked with providing varied content, graphical, photographic, video and interactive for DSEME (Defence School of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering).Youll work directly with customers from initial engagement to completion to produce a variety of items to include posters, illustrations, training booklets and floor signage.This is a great opportunity to work on some other design projects such as videography and virtual reality and also gain new skills and development, working on a diverse range of projects.We have in-house print room capable of producing artwork that can transform a classroom into a field operations tent, experience of large-scale print equipment would be highly beneficial.Your portfolio should demonstrate a strong ability across a range of projects. Your role will involve:* Develop creative solutions across a wide range of print and digital media to meet client requirements, priorities and time frames* Liaise with clients to discuss and interpret their needs; push creativity, challenge established thinking and discover new and innovative ways of approaching (and solving) a problem* Present rationale for design choices; assure design meets business objectives as stated in design brief* Work collaboratively with clients to enable staff and SMEs to produce and manage their own media through the efficient and effective use of media capture and content authoring tools* Handle multiple design projects at any one timeWhat do I need to do the roleYou must have experience in a graphic design role, evidenced by a portfolio of work, be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), have experience in working directly with a customer throughout the duration of a project, experience in large format printing is highly desirable, proficient in Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project and proficient in Articulate Storyline or similar rapid authoring tools.What else do I need to know* The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.* Please follow the link to find out more about how COVID-19 is impacting Recruitment and On-boarding for applicants: About Babcock InternationalFor more than a century, Babcock, the Aerospace and Defence company, has been trusted to deliver bespoke, highly-skilled engineering services.
