Job Description

Financial Controller

As Financial Controller you must be an experienced finance professional and hold the running of a successful day-to-day finance function.Managing financial performance and co-ordinate the reporting effectively, supporting business growth plans in accordance with business plans and processesOverview
  • Overseeing all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures
  • Providing executive management with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective policy making and financial strategizing
  • Providing external auditors with the necessary documentation and support
  • Taking care of tax preparation duties or liaising with external tax accountants for tax preparation
  • Ensuring the Company meets the necessary tax and licencing requirements
  • Collaborating with the executive team in establishing more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of the companys ledger
You need to have..
  • Accounting or Finance degree
  • CIMA qualified
  • Proven work experience within a fast past entrepreneurial business
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial procedures
  • Self-starter with initiative and desire for continuous improvement
  • Organise and update financial records as needed (digital and physical)
  • Analyse transactions and prepare reports
  • Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures and investments
  • Forecast revenue and analyse profit margins
  • Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable
  • Participate in budgeting processes to brief senior team on the companys financial status
  • Liaise with Tax Accountants to track payments and returns
  • Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with accounting software (eg Xero)
  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge (familiar with formulas, VLookups, Pivot Tables etc)
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail/accuracy
  • Chinese speaking/writing an advantage
