Role: Engineering ManagerSalary: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum, plus bonusLocation: Commutable from Bath, Swindon, Frome, Salisbury, Warminster, Andover and surrounding areas A vacancy has come available for a large manufacturing company who are looking for an Engineering Manager to head up and take control of their Engineering Department. It would suit someone who is after a challenging and rewarding opportunity. The person will be tasked with improving OEE, continuous improvement and change management.We require someone who can stand on their own, work autonomously and not need support. We will be looking for people to show evidence of their achievements, ideally around improving downtime within their CV, any facts and figures around these would be great. Role Objectives· Reduce machine downtime and increase productivity· Manage continuous improvements throughout engineering· Tailor and improve Planned Preventative Maintenance Program· Improve "Team" ethos of Multi-Skilled Engineers and Supervisors· Deliver plant improvements and projects· Ensure the team are proactive, effective and meet the demands of the business· Plan and co-ordinate business strategies across the plant and it’s equipmentResponsibilities· Drive and implement continuous improvements within the maintenance team to maximise efficiency within the Maintenance Department.· Effectively manage all maintenance activities (planned and unplanned), utilising operational excellence and continuous improvement activities to improve equipment reliability and ensure minimal equipment downtime.· The collation, analysis and reporting of engineering, OEE, cost and process data, in support of key targets and objectives.· Assist in the ongoing strategic plan of the factory.· Champion, support and implement lean manufacturing techniques applicable with the engineering function.· People management activities for a team of Engineers including recruitment, holidays, absence management, appraisals etc.· Take an active role in increasing standards of safety and quality across the business, through highlighting hazards and making improvements in equipment and/or procedures.· Maintain and update all maintenance documentation, which will include PC-based systems.· Work closely with the production department to help plant deliver productivity goals.· Manage revenue and capital spends within the confines of budget limits.Requirements· Qualified in Engineering · Engineering Management experience, overseeing a department and a team of Maintenance Engineers and Supervisors. · Experience of working within either Automotive, Pharmaceutical, FMCG or Food Manufacturing · Clear information provided around achievements of improving downtime and/or implementing improvements within CV.· Experienced management professional who has experience running and overseeing the Engineering Department with little or no support.· Demonstrable organisational skills, including the planning and implementation of systems and procedures.· Strong business understanding including running effective budgets, capex etc.· Proven track record of engaging with people and developing effective teams.If this role sounds of interest, please apply now and send your most up to date CV to Wesley at TechNichols Resourcing to be considered.
