Care Worker required in Chingford Primary School for 1:1 with Reception ChildA Primary School in Chingford are searching for a support worker with a a care/healthcare background to work 1:1 with a vulnerable child in reception as soon as possible. The role is full time 5 days a week.The Role:A young girl in Reception requires urgent 1:1 support. This child is thought to have experienced some quite serious neglect and trauma impacting on their development including speech. She requires personal care.The majority of this role will be spent in the alternative provision within the school with the child, however you will also be assisting and working with her inside the classroom as and when required too.The school has an extremely supportive Inclusion Lead and SENCO there to support you, and the work will also be shared with another Teaching Assistant. If you come from a care background or have prior experience working in a similar role in a schoolthis is perfect for you. There are good transport links and parking on site.The ideal candidate:-Has a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable children as well as prior experience with severe needs-Is reliable, consistent, punctual and has a fantastic attitude-Familiar with care plans-Hold a Fully Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update serviceQualifications in working with Autism are not essential.
