Job Description

Job Title: Year 2 Teacher - Maternity Cover (Fixed-Term one year)Location: North ChesterfieldStart Date: Easter 2024Contract: Fixed-term (1 year)Days: Monday to Friday (Full-Time)Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Pay Scale: M2 - M6Are you a dedicated and qualified teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to cover maternity leave within a Year 2 class We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our small school in North Chesterfield for a fixed-term period of oneyear. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will play a key role in continuing the high standard of education in our Year 2 class.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Year 2 students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Plan and prepare lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching, preferably within Key Stage 1.
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, particularly Year 2.
  • Effective classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
