Workshop Technican£30,000 - £35,000 + Company Benefits + Progression + TrainingChesterfield Are you a workshop Technican looking for a dyas based role Monday to Friday that will offer you training and progression so you can work towards building a careerAbout the Company:A well-established and dynamic company is currently seeking a Workshop Equipment Technician to join their growing team in Chesterfield. With over 25 years of experience, this organizations mission is to safeguard long-term health by providing protectionagainst dust, fumes, and noise - elements that can be disruptive, harmful, and even fatal.About the Role:As a Workshop Equipment Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our equipment. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Performing repairs, maintenance, servicing, and testing of equipment.
  • Ensuring hire equipment meets performance criteria and safety standards.
  • Logging defective equipment in our database and notifying relevant teams.
  • Acting as a point of contact for customers requiring assistance with troubleshooting equipment.
  • Managing and resolving breakdowns, which may involve on-site visits.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workshop space.
  • Cleaning and preparing equipment for hire.
  • Managing inventory levels of stock within the workshop.
  • IT proficiency, utilizing MS programs such as MS Office and Outlook.
Work Level: Team MemberFocuses on delivering monthly targets today and the week ahead.Key Responsibilities:
  • Repairing, maintaining, servicing, and testing equipment.
  • Ensuring accuracy in our digital database.
  • Reporting missing items, damaged goods, and substandard equipment to relevant teams.
  • Managing data entry related to missing items, damaged goods, and substandard equipment.
  • Resolving breakdowns and managing workshop areas.
  • Maintaining and managing workshop inventory.
  • Assisting in various processes within the warehouse when necessary.
  • Assisting in the movement of various equipment using our fork trucks.
Experience & Skills Required:
  • Qualified Electrician with relevant electrical qualifications.
  • CSCS card is an advantage but can be provided.
  • Qualification/experience with plumbing and water services is an advantage.
  • Qualification/experience with plant/machinery is an advantage.
  • General warehouse experience and skills are an advantage.
  • Problem-solving and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage workload and working environment.
  • Ability to receive and respond to emails and use basic MS Office programs.
