Job Description

My client a leading producer of stainless steel band clamps and fastening products based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire are now looking to recruit a Toolmaker on a days based position.Client DetailsMy client are based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire and is acknowledged as the Worlds leader in developing quality engineered clamping. They also produce stainless steel band clamps and fastening products for applications on traffic signs, vehicles, tanks, energy pipelines, cabling underwater, planes and the sky isnt even the limit, also on space shuttles. They are now looking to recruit a Toolmaker.DescriptionAs the Toolmaker you will report directly into the Tooling Manager and will be responsible fo carrying out a hands-on role in tooling management and the maintenance process. You will take ownership for the diagnosis, fault-finding, repair and refurbishing of all tooling.Toolmaker Duties and Responsibilities Include: * Servicing, repairing and maintaining new and existing tooling. * Machining and refinishing tooling to a high standard* Repairing tooling failures and working to PPMs.ProfileTo apply for the position of Toolmaker based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire you will:

  • Be experienced with bench work, general metal work, turning, milling and grinding.
  • Be able to read technical drawings.
  • Have worked in an engineering / production environment utilising both imperial and metric measurements.
  • Be organised, self-disciplined and understand the pressures of delivery with a flexible attitude.
  • Knowledge of progression press tools, CAD and wire EDM would be an advantage.
  • Job Offer£30,000 - £35,000
