GI Group are currently recruiting for a TIG Welder to join our clients friendly team on a long-term basis. This role is based in the Chesterfield, S41 area.The successful candidate will be primarily based out of their site in Chesterfield, with some travel between sites to assist with fitting and installations.Applicants must have previous experience within TIG Welding and stainless steel fabrication. The successful candidate will be required to complete a weld test at the company.Job Types: Temporary - PermanentWorking Hours:Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.Hourly Rate: £16.00 per hour. (40 hours per week)£20.00 per hour over time and a Saturday shift.£25.00 per hour Sunday shift.Weekends and overtime as and when required, some of which is mandatory to the role.Duties/Responsibilities will include but not limited to:- TIG Welding a variety of metals - aluminium and stainless steel being the most common.- Ability to read and follow basic engineers drawings.- Happy to complete overtime when necessary, paid at an increased premium rate of pay.Essential Skills Required:- Previous experience in thin TIG Welding (1mm - 3mm).- Advantageous if the individual has experience in polishing welds to a nice finish. - Must have own transport, as the candidate may have to travel to different local sites to help with installation.- Flexible with working hours, as some weekend work may be required.- Excellent attention to detail.- Accuracy in all tasks and measurements, and a high grade of work.- Advantageous if the candidate can provide their own personal tools, however this is not essential. - Be competent at working alone or as part of a team.Contact Information:For more information please apply below or call our Chesterfield office on .
