Job Description

Primary Teacher - Specialist Provision (SEN and Behaviour Support)Location: North ChesterfieldContract: Full-TimeAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), to join our Specialist Provision in North Chesterfield. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a positive impact onthe lives of primary-aged children with special educational needs (SEN) and emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties.Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of a small group of around 6 primary-aged children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of Teaching Assistants (TAs) to provide additional support and ensure a nurturing learning environment.
  • Effectively manage and address challenging behaviour, promoting positive social and emotional development.
  • Implement and adapt the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children, with a focus on academic and personal growth.
  • Regularly assess and track students progress, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, carers, and other professionals involved in the childrens care.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience working with children who have SEN and emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the children.
