Brain Injury Support WorkerHours: Approx. 20 hours per week including weekends and sleeps-in (specific shifts and hours of work to be discussed at interview.)Salary: £12.00 per hour (weekdays); £13.13 per hour (weekends); £27.44 bank holidays; £9.50 per hour sleep-in shiftOne permanent post available.Closing date: 24th July 2023 @ 12pmInterview date: TBCPlease note, the Support Worker is directly employed by the client and is seperately managed on behalf of the client.Job Specification/Description;1) To work with a gentleman who has a brain injury, in his own home and in the community.2) To enable him to participate in recreational and leisure activities, both at home and in the community3) To carry out domestic duties in his home, such as washing, ironing, cooking, and cleaning4) Using the gentleman’s Motability vehicle, act as a driver mainly locally, and further afield if needed.5) To provide daytime, evening, and overnight support within a 24-hour support package, including weekends6) To have the availability to offer occasional cover for staff holidays and sickness.7) To follow an agreed approach, and use strategies documented in the support plan, working in collaboration with the client’s Case Manager, Team Leader and any other professionals when required.8) To undertake training and supervision as agreed by the Case Manager.9) To ensure client confidentiality in all matters relating to the client.10) To provide assistance and support as directed by the Case Manager/Team Leader, and to be responsible to the client via the Case Manager/Team Leader.11) Any other appropriate and reasonable task in relation to the employment as agreed with the client and Case Manager.12) To provide daily ongoing support/prompts to assist the client to undertake personal care and domestic activities.13) To accompany the client on holidays and weekends away when required.Applicant Personal Specifications Essential Qualifications/Experience • You must be able to read information contained in reports, and present information clearly and accurately when communicating with the team via different forms of documentation• You must have the ability to work on your own unsupervised, or as part of a team• You must have a full UK driving licence and be a confident driver.Desirable experience • To have a knowledge or level of understanding around Brain Injury• To have experience of working in a community setting or people’s own homes.To apply for this rewarding postion please send us your C.V and covering letter now..
