Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a reputable not-for-profit business in Chesterfield as they look to recruit a Senior Finance Manager to work alongside the current Head of Finance. That person will be looking to retire in thenext couple of years so this is a fantastic opportunity to join as a number 2 and progress their career as the company looks towards a succession plan. This is a key hire for the business and will also have the responsibility of managing 2 credit controllers. The finance department has 6 people in total. This is a varied role that will involve management accounts production, analysis, budgeting and forecastingas well as managing European funding streams. You will also be passionate about driving change and continually look to develop current systems and processes. Duties & Responsibilities will include: -- Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts- To lead the development of the Microsoft Business Central cloud finance platform- Managing the Chambers portfolio of member fund investments- To deputise for the Head of Finance when necessary - Monthly balance sheet reconciliations- Monitoring of contracts and financial claims including European Contracts- Petty cash management including Employment Services daily payments- Assist with the budgeting process and reforecasting- Payroll processing, including submission of HMRC RTI reports (experience not necessary)- Management of the company pension scheme- Assisting Head of Finance with quarterly VAT returns- Supporting Head of Finance with Annual External Audit- Managing affiliated company accounts including subsidiariesThe successful candidate will have the following skills and experiences:-- Fully qualified CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA - Staff Management Experience - Experience of developing and implementing new and more efficient ways of working- Experience of management accounts production and budget preparation- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (CRM system) and Microsoft Business Central would be highly desirable- Key to success in this role is the ability to apply innovative thinking - Initiative to achieving set objectives - Continuously improving the customer experience, both internally and externallyAs well as a good basic salary, they offer excellent benefits including 25 days holiday + Stats, generous company pension scheme at 8% employer contribution, 2 CSR days ( for volunteering) which you can take on company time, your birthday off, and you can alsotake up to an additional 1 week unpaid leave.They operate a 35 hour working week, Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm and they offer an agile working pattern involving work between both the home and office.
