Semi Senior / Bookkeeper (independent firm of accountants) | Chesterfield | £25,000 - £30,000 + benefits The OpportunityHigh integrity, welcoming and professional independent firm located in central Chesterfield. Youll enjoy plenty of variety, being part of a lovely team and superb work life balance.The Partner is looking for an experienced accounting professional - someone with previous experience as Semi Senior or Bookkeeper within another firm locally.Youll be working with some really interesting clients and their portfolio is extremely broad (sole traders, partnerships and ltd companies across a total myriad of sectors).Its a practice with a reputation for quality, honesty and a partnership approach to accounting. They dont cut corners or put you under pressure to send work out that is inaccurate or rushed. The important thing for the owners is that the employees andthe clients they work with feel valued and prioritised.Youll be getting stuck into preparing finalised accounts, VAT returns, basic tax calcs and all round bookkeeping. You will ideally have used cloud based software (Sage or Xero) previously.You need to have previous practice experience.You wont be micro managed here - theres chance to do paid overtime if you would like to earn a little more at certain times of the year but equally theres complete work life balance if you would prefer to stick to the core hours -- theres also sensibleflexibility in terms of start and finish times to ensure you can balance a commute / other commitments before or after work.Basically a really friendly, enjoyable place to work and a firm with a reputation to be proud of.Youll ideally be AAT but qualified by experience is also fine.
