Job Description

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor/Senior QS

About Us:Attega’s client offer turnkey in-house solutions to all rail engineering projects – from new build, enhancement & refurbishment works to some of the most exciting and ambitious rail projects taking place all over the world.We are seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The M&E Quantity Surveyor will play a crucial role in the successful execution of mechanical and electrical projects by ensuring cost efficiency, accurate budgeting, and effectivecost management. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to achieve project goals.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for M&E projects, including materials, labour, and equipment costs.
  • Monitor project budgets and ensure that costs are controlled within the allocated budget, identifying any potential cost overruns and proposing solutions.
  • Generate regular cost reports, forecasts, and progress reports for project stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings without compromising project quality.
  • Prepare and negotiate final accounts, including the settlement of claims and disputes.
  • Analyse cost data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for cost control and optimization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or similar
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.
