Job Description

Quality Inspector

  • AS9100 accredited
    • Purpose of the Quality InspectorProvide inspection, quality control and reporting for our aerospace accredited CNC machining divisionCore Activities of the Quality Inspector
  • First off inspection of production components
  • Full first article inspection reporting
  • Final Inspection
  • Subcontract Inspection
  • Packaging / Despatch of Goods
  • Raising of deliveries
  • Managing over production & stock
  • Producing other technical reports as required
  • Internal calibration of equipment
  • Endorse production housekeeping promoting the importance of a clean, tidy, safe working environment in working in accordance with 5S practices
  • Raise any non-conformance issues on any item as soon as they are identified using the company procedures
  • Support investigation of the non-conformance process
  • Assist in set up reduction, lean, continuous improvement activities as required
    • Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector
  • Health & Safety ? Ensure the H&S policies are maintained, managed & controlled throughout the businesses
  • Quality ? Support the effective management & implementation of the QMS system throughout the businesses.
    • Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure shop floor data collection procedures are carefully followed
  • Ensure safe working procedures are followed
  • Ensure housekeeping procedures and prescribed standards are maintained
  • Attend internal/external meetings as required by the department and board
    • Preferred Experience
  • Sound engineering background
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Experience with technical measuring equipment (CMM, Faro Arm etc.)
  • Familiar with engineering measuring and gauging equipment
  • Worked within AS9100 / ISO9001 quality management system
  • Able to read and understand technical documentation and engineering drawings
  • Worked with manufacturing ERP software/systems
