We are one of Europes leading independent manufacturers of high-quality automotive products and we are looking for an accomplished Purchasing Manager. Based from one of our two hi-tech facilities in Nottinghamshire and reporting directly to the ManagingDirector, you will be tasked with the further development of our commercial purchasing function.BASIC SALARY: £45,000 - £50,000BENEFITS: Bonus (level negotiable) Pension HealthcareLOCATION: NottinghamshireCOMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Nottingham, Sheffield, Doncaster, Derby, Chesterfield, LincolnJOB DESCRIPTION: Purchasing Manager, Buyer, Procurement Manager, Senior Buyer - Catalytic Converters, AutomotiveThe primary focus of the Purchasing Manager role is to run the purchasing team and manage all direct and indirect spend. We pride ourselves on treating our suppliers like we do our customers. Strong relationships are at the centre of our business and we treatall our external partners in the same fashion.In additional we will be looking for the Purchasing Manager to; Manage and develop a team of 2/3 existing purchasing staff Manage a total spend of circa £20 million Negotiate and agree contracts Monitor supplier performance, including conducting supplier site audits Building and maintaining good relationships with new and existing suppliersThis is a genuine opportunity to bring about change if change is required.
