Job Description

Project Planner (Logistics)

Our Chesterfield based client is a market leader within its industry and due to continued growth are now looking for experienced Logistics Project Coordinator.An opportunity has arisen for a Project Co-ordinator in the expanding department and will offer support to Area Business Managers across all divisions.Essential requirements:

  • Able to own a problem and resolve it from start to end

  • Experience of purchasing processes and stock management
  • Experience of working within good housekeeping guidelines
  • Previous experience in a despatch/logistics/administrative/customer services role
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
  • Ability to absorb information quickly
  • Ability to work under own initiative but within a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
Key responsibilities:
  • Obtaining necessary documentation to book in stocks and managing stock level.
  • Ensuring materials are ordered within supplier lead times to meet production and customer requirements
  • Managing goods in/out by planning and booking allocated delivery slots for suppliers/raw material/order and making sure that all deliveries are made on time.
  • Processing orders accurately with correct pricing and following written procedures to reduce the number of credits.
  • Dealing with invoice queries and raising credit notes where required.
  • Undertaking customer liaison from the start to end of a query.
  • Oversee the resolution of any issues and problems faced by customers to maintain trust.
  • Liaise with Transport to organise loading of goods out and prepare required dispatch documentation.
  • Oversee the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
  • Work with the technical teams and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Create a Customer First culture.
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
  • Ensuring good and products adhere to Health and Safety and Technical Specification.
