Job Description

Ford & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Expertsare recruiting a Project Manager who is looking for the opportunity to manage multi-million-pound projects working for a specialist engineering company at the forefront of transportation safety.The OpportunityWe are looking for a Project Manager with a strong background managing safety critical engineering-based projects from cradle to grave. We are not looking for a reporter but a proven manager who can ensure projects are delivered in budget and time.Location (s):ChesterfieldRole and Responsibilities:

  • Customer and supplier reporting/interface
  • Responsible for all Project Management and related procedures
  • Responsible for all CDRL project documents; PMP, delivery/resource plan, risk register etc. for each individual project
  • Program planning across all projects to ensure resource, facility, material etc. is managed to deliver all projects to plan
  • Supplier evaluation
  • Maintaining comms logs and other non CDRL documents
  • Financial oversight of all projects, tracking internal and external expenditure including timesheet booking
  • Assisting with future tenders
The CandidateThis role would be suitable for an experienced Project Manger who has experience working in the engineering industry (Maritime, defence, automotive, rail, aerospace or pharmaceutical) who has a proven record in delivering projects in full. Experience increating a plan of action and being fluent & confident in stakeholder manager (internal & external)Essential
  • A recognised Project Management qualification
  • Several years experience managing projects in a regulated industry (rail, maritime, defence, pharmaceuticals etc.)
  • Fluent in MS Project
Desirable
  • HND, or higher, Engineering Qualification
  • Rail Industry and/or Rolling stock experience
  • "Hands on" experience in a former role as a fitter/technician
  • Product knowledge in pneumatics and control systems
