Job Description

Production Manager£40,000 - £45,000Yolk Recruitment is partnered with a global engineering leader in the recruitment of a Production Manager to join a growing operation. The business provides an essential specialist service to a high-profile customer base across a range of critical sectors,and offers an exciting career in a secure sector, with the opportunity to make a significant impact.Collaborating with managers, the individual will contribute to the development of engineering practices, equipment, and overall factory organisation. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals contemplating a transition into production management.This is what youll be doing:

  • Oversee orders through both in-house and external operations, ensuring alignment with customer specifications while meeting quality expectations and adhering to delivery schedules.
  • Take ownership of the comprehensive project plan, effectively communicate key milestone dates, and strategically plan required resources.
  • Maintain and manage a customer-centric planning database to facilitate efficient order processing and forecast planning.
  • Supervise process control documentation, coordinate customer witness points, and review outwork inspection and test reports for inclusion in document release packs.
  • Aid in providing Import/Export instructions and participate in the review of clearance documents in accordance with HMRC guidelines.
  • Efficiently manage the intercompany transfer of work to UK/European HIP sites, overseeing the release of parts post-HIP, including packing and shipment.
  • Uphold accurate records and systematically archive release documents for retention and storage purposes.
  • Offer support to other departments in the day-to-day operation of the site, collaborating on sales and technical projects to foster the development of new customers, parts, and markets.
