Job Description

Role: Production and Material SchedulerSalary: £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experienceLocation: ChesterfieldThe role:The Production and Material Scheduler is responsible for the planning, ordering, engineering and expediting of all manufactured parts to arrive on time, right first time in line with production planning requirements. Working closely with the ManufacturingManager, this role will successfully co-ordinate the supply chain process to deliver manufactured parts on time and enable the production of job boxes in advance of the planned assembly dates.Key responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the tracking, expediting and planning of all manufactured parts required to achieve production targets.
  • Management of stock including creating / updating stock parts and Bill Of Materials via the change request system.
  • Weekly monitoring of stock levels and support with stock checks across operations both quarterly and ad-hoc as required
  • Act as technical assistant for spares orders across the board, processing any manufacturing requests and preparing drawings as required.
  • Assist with the process and management of requests for work providing status updates to operations team in a timely and proactive manner.
  • Assistance with the quoting and procurement of parts and raw materials for the fabrication team.
  • Assist Manufacturing Manager with high level of workload where required
  • Raise quotes/process orders for stainless steel and mild steel raw material and profiles as per the approvals process
  • Review and update stock levels as required
  • Daily check with fabrication Technical Lead for requirements
