Job Description

Join us as an IT Business ManagerAs our IT Business Manager, youll support the Leadership Team in setting budgets for IT, promoting transparency around the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of IT services, and identifying opportunities to optimise the overall cost of delivery of IT services providedto the wider business. Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year depending on experience + an excellent benefits package Location: Must be able to travel to our Chesterfield office a couple of times a weekHours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pmYour duties will include:

  • Providing support, challenge, and provide insight on all financial aspects of IT spend, identifying opportunities for operational optimisation and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Producing and maintaining a comprehensive annual IT budget. Ensure clarity on all financial targets, monthly financial results preparation and delivery, annual budgeting and forecasting and long-range forecasting.
  • Board level reports with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders, responding to challenges and queries as required.
  • Continually develop the method of recharging IT Costs in agreement with the groups business leaders
  • Build and maintain good relationships across the various finance teams and the wider business areas, engaging them as necessary for inputs into financial models
  • Comparing IT costs both internally and against appropriate benchmarks
  • Continually reviewing and update TCO models and tools to ensure that they continue to provide reliable outputs
  • Managing internal IT Finance processes including Expenses and Credit Card returns
Essential Skills & experience:
  • Strong commercial and strategic understanding.
  • Senior Stakeholder management experience
  • Experience of managing IT Budgets in excess of £5m
  • Exposure to recharging models
  • Able to translate business requirements to technical and vice versa
  • Proven experience in driving cost savings and financial planning
  • Demonstrable knowledge of service provider contracts and procurement processes
  • Working knowledge of accounting standards, tax and legal requirements
  • Self-starter and able to work autonomously / within teams
  • Critical thinker and ability to demonstrate logical approach to problem solving
  • Experience of IT Financial Management and Procurement toolsets
  • Ability to gather accurate requirements
  • Adhere to GDPR, FCA, TCF and Data Protection Regulations
